Aspire To Begin Cup Defence At Villa

Aspire PFC will travel to Birmingham to take on Villa Rockets PFC in the third round of the 2025/26 John Good Group WFA Cup.

This is the first involvement in the cup this season for Aspire, who will be setting their sights on progressing to the finals day at Derby Arena on Saturday, May 9th.

The match will be kicking off around 11:30, and will take place at the Doug Ellis Sports Centre. The extent of coverage for this game will be determined closer to the time.

Aspire are the defending champions of the WFA Cup, following a 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion in the final back in July 2025.

This season sees the John Good Group WFA Cup enter a new chapter. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and final will take place on one day at Derby arena.

This sees a change from previous seasons, in which the final took place at St George's Park across the FA Disability Cup weekend.

Powerchair football will still be featured at the FA Disability Cup, however the game will now be a showpiece between the winners of the Slater & Gordon Premiership, and the WFA Cup champions.

Spectators are welcome at the clash with Villa Rockets. The game is taking place at: Doug Ellis Sports Centre, Birmingham City University, 150 Wellhead Lane, Birmingham, West Midlands B42 2SY
