Rich George Strengthens Warriors Ranks

Aspire Warriors PFC are delighted to announce the signing of Rich George ahead of the 2026/27 Slater & Gordon Championship season.

An experienced player with nearly 100 career goals, Rich will add an abundance of quality and leadership to the team.

Rich spent the majority of his career at West Bromwich Albion, winning two Premiership titles there, before joining their Throstles team. He stepped away from the sport in 2022, but came out of retirement to join Aspire last summer.

Rich has only been at the club for a year, but already feels like one of the strongest and most respected characters in the building.

Warriors coach Jon Bolding said: "Signing Rich for the warriors is a massive signing for us. Rich has the skills to make a real impression on this team and in the league.

"We wanted to find a real poacher who could give us the goals we needed this season and I believe rich is that guy. He also bring a vast amount of experience which will help the players around him."

Rich said: "I’m really looking forward to the challenge of getting the Warriors back into the Premiership where they belong.

"I’m looking forward to getting to know the new players and seeing everyone gel and progress together. Fingers crossed, we’ll be lifting a few trophies."

Rich will wear the number 11 for the Warriors next season.
