Mclellan In Team Of The Weekend Again

After being voted standout player for game-week one of the Slater & Gordon Premiership, Dan Mclellan once again found himself amongst the accolades, being named in the Team of the Weekend for the second weekend of the season.

Mclellan scored in all four Aspire games across the weekend with his goals proving especially important in the 1-0 wins against Newcastle and Villa Rockets.

He also scored the late equaliser against Greenbank, a crucial goal which maintained Aspire's unbeaten record in the league this season.

Mclellan said: "It's great to be named in the team of the weekend. It really does mean a lot.

"It was a weekend which really challenged our character, however I thought we did really well to stand up to all of the tests."
