Aspire PSC Say Goodbye And Thank You

The end of a season brings so much excitement - new signings, new kits, new teams and more!

However, there is another side of a new season that nobody likes, and that is saying goodbye to some incredible players and people.

Now that moves have been announced, and everybody has their new powerchair footballing home, it is time to pay tribute to four fantastic players moving on this summer.

Sean Donogher

Sean played for us Muscle Warriors team last season, showing incredible commitment to travel over from Ireland for every game!

Although the season didn't go the way we wanted, Sean's experience and personality was absolutely crucial to the learning and development which took place across the season.

A quiet leader, Sean was a steady hand in a tough campaign for the Warriors. He was also a versatile operator, playing centrally and wide, wherever the team needed him.

We are so grateful to him and his family for the commitment they showed to the cause last season.

We hope to see you mental Irish bunch in England again next season for more laughs, and more fun!

Jacob Vickers

Alongside handling social media stardom, Jacob Vickers has been a key part of the Muscle Warriors squad for a number of seasons.

The highlight of his time at Muscles was undeniably the 2024/25 campaign in which Jacob starred in promotion from the Championship to the Premiership.

He scored a whopping 17 goals, and was one of the leading scorers in the entire division, showcasing his quality.

Jacob's personality was a huge part of the changing room in such a successful season for the club, and he should be so proud of what he achieved.

Jacob also achieved a significant career milestone last season, scoring his first Premiership goals. We are delighted that he has got a great move to a Sevenoaks, a fantastic Premiership club, to hopefully see more of that.

Thank you so much, Jacob. We can't wait to see you soon!

Rikin Shah

Rikin Shah's departure will leave a huge hole in the Aspire hub. He has been involved in either Evergreen, the Aspire first team or the Warriors for longer than some of our younger players can even remember!

Rikin is a decorated player, and we were so delighted when he agreed to join Muscle Warriors.

Rikin was the driving force behind promotion in 2024/25, using his years of Premiership experience to provide high standards.

Captaining the side, Rikin used his kind nature to coach the less experienced players within the squad through the high pressure of a title race.

Rikin has been a much beloved member of the Aspire family, and we cannot wait to see him again at Championship weekends next season.

Good luck in your new challenge at Villa Rockets Lions, Rikin. You are forever a member of our family!

Jordan Williams

Last, but certainly not least, is Jordan Williams who departs Aspire PFC after a glittering career within the club.

Jordan won everything. Leagues, Cups, and perhaps most impressively, he is one of a tiny number of English players who can call themselves European Champions. Jordan himself has said that this is his best powerchair football memory, and so many within Aspire would agree.

Jordan's commitment to Aspire has always been without question, and he has been such a vital player for 17 years.

Jord has predominantly been a top class wide player, mastering the art of creating and scoring goals. That said, he would do anything for the club, and would often step in goal, or in the centre if he was needed to.

A fantastic character, Jordan was always there to drop a sarcastic comment that made everybody laugh. We would also like to thank Jordan's parents for everything they have done for the club - Saturday night categories will never be the same again!

We are gutted to see Jordan go, however wish him nothing but the best for the future. It will be incredibly strange to see Jord in non-Aspire colours, but we are so happy that he has moved to a fantastic Premiership club.

Thank you for everything Jordan, we have made so many memories together, and you will ALWAYS be a part of the Aspire family. A true legend.
